Kevin supports plans to increase funding to our public schools. This additional funding will ensure that our teachers receive the salaries they deserve, that our class sizes are reduced, that early childhood education will be fully funded and our children will be prepared to compete in a global workplace.
• ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT :
As a business owner who has created hundreds of jobs Kevin knows we need more high wage, high tech employment opportunities in our state. He will support initiatives to make Florida more competitive in developing and attracting new industries to our state. This will help our working families and increase our tax base which will help to fund schools and services locally.
• PROPERTY TAXES :
Kevin will support legislation to close sales tax loopholes that divert billions of dollars from our local governments. These additional funds will allow local governments to provide greater services while reducing property taxes.
• ALTERNATIVE ENERGIES :
Like all of us, Kevin knows the pain that skyrocketing gas prices have caused his family and business. He knows that our reliance on foreign oil makes us weaker as a nation and hurts us all economically. Because of this, Kevin will support initiatives and legislation designed to develop and attract industries committed to the development of alternative energy sources. Additionally, he'll support incentives for conservation offered to residents and commercial entities. When successful, we'll be able to save money while creating new jobs.
• PROPERTY INSURANCE REFORM :
As an independent insurance agent, Kevin knows how the explosion of property insurance rates has had a crippling effect on Florida's economy and he will support legislation that will spread risk and lower premiums for those most in need of reductions. |
